What we don't do

We unfortunately do not put intimate piercings, dermals and tongue piercings. At the moment our piercer is also only putting piercings in the outside of the ear (conch, helix, flat, lobe) and from the middle of April the other piercings will be added.

Sale of jewelry

During our regular business hours, you can visit us for a wide range of jewelry for various piercings. Whether you simply lost a ball or are looking for something unique, we are happy to help you find something beautiful. We also do alternative piercings to order.

Aftercare

Daily cleaning:

  • Rinse the piercing daily in the shower with water. This helps soften and wash away scabs. Do not move or twist the jewelry.
  • After showering, pat the piercing dry with kitchen paper (do not use a towel to avoid infection).
  • Use saline solution twice a day and then pat dry.

What to avoid:

  • Touch the piercing as little as possible.
  • Do not use ointment or disinfectants such as Sterilon or Betadine.
  • Avoid swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms and hot tubs.
  • Do not wear band-aids over the piercing.
  • Beware of tight clothing, hair products and makeup near the piercing.

Hygiene:

  • Change your bedding regularly.
  • Don't sleep on the side of your new piercing.

Healing period per piercing

  • Earlobe: 6-8 weeks
  • Ear cartilage: 3-9 months
  • Nosewing: 2-4 months
  • Septum: 2-3 months
  • Eyebrow: 3-6 months
  • Lip: 3-6 months
  • Tongue: 4-8 weeks
  • Smiley: 2-4 weeks
  • Nipple, Surface, Navel: 3-9 months

Downsizing

After the healing period, it is wise to replace the jewelry with a shorter version. The original one is larger because of the swelling that occurs. This prevents damage to the tissue. There is a cost for this.

Warranty and service

If you have questions or doubts, always contact us.

Note: Swelling and redness after piercing are normal

After piercing, the skin around the piercing may become red and swollen. This is a normal reaction of your body. However, there are situations in which it is wise to contact us or your doctor immediately:

  1. Concerns about healing: If you doubt that the piercing is healing properly.
  2. Sickness or fever: When you get sick or fever within a few days after piercing.
  3. Persistent symptoms: If you do not notice a reduction in redness, itching or swelling within 48 hours.
  4. New or worsened symptoms: When symptoms arise suddenly or worsen after 24 hours.
  5. Removing the piercing: If you want to remove the piercing during the healing process, such as due to symptoms, outgrowth or rejection symptoms.

Advice for complications

In doubt about the healing of your piercing? Always contact us in time for professional advice. This way you will prevent further irritation or complications.

Happy Healing! 😊
